The history of the Dairy Plant in Środa Wielkopolska dates back to the turn of 1884 and 1885 when a private operator, taking advantage of the rapid development of horned cattle in the Środa region, launched the first dairy. On 20 October 1905, a dairy cooperative was established. On 15 March 1906, the cooperative bought the dairy from Mrs Jadwiga Teodora Von Duszyńska and began the construction of a new facility. After repeated modernisation, it is still in use and constitutes part of the current plant complex. Our offer includes mainly fresh products, such as creams, milk drinks, yoghurt, curd cheese, cottage cheese, and butter. We comply with all principles of good manufacturing practice (GMP) and other systems ensuring the health quality of food, e.g. HACCP. Średzka Spółdzielnia Mleczarska JANA is a very modern plant. The cooperative systematically increases its production and invests in expanding its capacity by implementing the latest technical solutions available for the dairy industry. Cooperation with numerous retail chains that are highly demanding towards their suppliers proves that the cooperative has managed its development well and maintains high and stable quality, as confirmed by audits carried out annually by specialist companies on behalf of chain customers (e.g. BRC). By combining traditional manufacturing methods with modern technology and ultra-modern equipment, we are able to offer delicious dairy products that are appreciated by an increasingly wide range of consumers in Poland and abroad.
