The Polish national stand was awarded in the “Most innovative stand” category at the Interfood Azerbaijan 2024 trade fair

The fair took place in Baku, Azerbaijan from May 15th to 17th, 2024 and is considered a leading event of its kind in the country.
In line with the strategy set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to promote Polish agri-food products on foreign markets, the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) organised a national stand for the first time at the Interfood Azerbaijan fair under the slogan “Poland tastes good”.
The stand was awarded for innovation.
It was officially opened by Michał Greczyło, Head of the Political and Economic Department of the Polish Embassy in Baku, together with representatives of the KOWR and invited guests.
Polish companies from the food sector presented fruit and vegetables, juices, fish products, snacks, sweets, organic food as well as confectionery additives for yoghurts and ice cream. The Polish national stand was very popular among fair visitors.
In cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Baku, business meetings of Polish companies with representatives of the largest local retail chains were also organised on the day before the fair.
Azerbaijan is a promising market for Polish food exports. The value of agri-food products exported from Poland to Azerbaijan in 2023 was 43% higher than in 2022 and more than twice as high as in 2021. The main exported products included chocolate sweets, sugar syrups and frozen vegetable mixtures.
