Polish national stand at the Sweets and Snacks Expo 2024 trade fair

On 14-16 May 2024, the next edition of one of the largest and most important international trade fairs for the confectionery and snacks industry in the USA took place in Indianapolis.
The Polish national stand organised by the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) featured companies producing sauces, milk fondants, cookies, fudge, freeze-dried fruit and snacks made from freeze-dried fruit, rice, chickpea and quinoa wafers, rice and corn wafers in chocolate, cereal cookies, flatbreads, meringues, peanut butter, low-calorie products, including syrups, gluten-free and vegan cookies, and ice cream.
To strengthen the effect of promotional activities carried out at the aforementioned fair, the KOWR prepared short videos presenting the potential of the Polish confectionery and snacks industry that were displayed on large-format screens during all fair days.
The USA is an attractive market for Polish agri-food exports due to its significant import potential and role as a re-export centre in the North and Central American region.
The USA is the third largest recipient of Polish agri-food products among non-EU countries. In 2023, the value of Polish agri-food exports to this country amounted to EUR 870 million, 13% more y/y. The USA is one of the primary non-EU recipients of sweets, fish products and pork from Poland.
