The 28th edition of Gulfood, the largest and most important food industry exhibition event in the Middle East, took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from 20 to 24 February 2023.
As part of the implementation of activities promoting Polish agri-food products on foreign markets, the National Support Centre for Agriculture, following the strategy defined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, organised a Polish national stand under the slogan “Poland tastes good” at this fair for the seventh time.
The Polish national stand was located in three industry sectors: “World Food”, dairy products and beverages. The Polish export offer was presented by a total of 34 companies representing the following product groups: confectionery, dairy, meat and fish products, honey, gluten-free bakery products, fruits and vegetables, spices, cereal breakfast products, coffees, juices and soft drinks.
The Polish booth was very popular and popular with fair visitors, and Polish entrepreneurs held numerous talks with potential business partners.
The stand was officially opened by the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the UAE, Jakub Sławek, together with invited guests, including representatives of the Sejm’s Poland-UAE parliamentary group.
The National Support Centre for Agricultural stand was visited by the UAE Minister of Climate Change and Environment, a representative of the Dubai Municipality and a representative of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA), among others.
Representatives of the National Support Centre for Agricultural took part in a meeting on the UAE food sector organized by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and a meeting with representatives of the Abu Dhabi Food Hub.
In addition, the Polish stand hosted meetings with representatives of local institutions, companies, and trade networks, organized for exhibitors with the support of the Polish Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency Foreign Trade Office in Dubai. The purpose of the aforementioned meetings was to exchange information necessary for the development of the presence of Polish food companies in the UAE market.
