Polish national stand at the Foodex Saudi 2024 fair in Ryiadh

The 11th edition of Foodex Saudi – one of the most important international food and beverage fair in Saudi Arabia – were held between 16 and 19 September 2024 in Ryiadh. This event was a focal point for the Polish agri-food sector, which with the aid of the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) actively promotes its products on the foreign markets following the strategy of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The Polish national stand organised under the “Poland tastes good” brand attracted the attention of both the visitors and representatives of the sector. For this-year edition of fair, the Polish companies presented an extensive offer of dairy, fish products, confectionery, honey, NFC juices, dry fruits, fruit batons, various types of hummus, vegetable snacks and gluten-free products. Tomarz Ciodyk, Deputy Director General of KOWR performed the official opening of the stand.

Foodex Saudi continues to gain on prestige, attracting the food sector operators throughout the world. Saudi Arabia, with its dynamically developing food market, is perceived as an attractive destination for the Polish exporters. The last-year edition of fair was attended by more than 400 exhibitors from 30 countries, including 16 Polish companies, which demonstrates growing interest in our products.

Saudi Arabia, being the largest food market in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) region and with population exceeding 32 million, is distinguished with high demand for dairy products, healthy food and organic products. The annual expenditure on food reaches USD 70 billion, and the analysts forecast further growth of this market by approx. 4% per annum in 2023-2028. This provides a great opportunity for the Polish companies to expand the exportation of their flagship products, such as cereals, dairy and confectionery, on one of the most dynamically developing markets in the world.

The presence of Poland at Foodex Saudi 2024 is a proof of increasing importance of the Polish products on the international forum and blooming opportunities in the Middle East region.
