Polish national stand at the Foodex Japan 2025 fair

The jubilee, 50th edition of the Foodex Japan fair – one of the most important and largest exhibition fairs of the food sector in Asia commenced on 11 March 2025 in Tokyo. This was the sixth time the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) exhibited at this fair.

The comprehensive offer of the Polish food and beverages under the “Poland tastes good” brand was  presented in Tokyo by 40 operators. Between 11 and 14 March 2025, the Japanese guests and visitors from the other countries had the opportunity to meet at the KOWR stand the producers of among others: poultry, fish products, caviar and seafood, milk products, fruit juices and concentrate preparations, cereal and natural coffee, liqueurs and vodkas, frozen fruits and vegetables, prepared dishes, spices, hummus, sweet and salty snacks, breakfast products and confectionery.

The official opening of the national stand held on 11 March this year was attended by Michał Kołodziejczak – Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Henryk Smolarz – Director General of KOWR and Paweł Milewski – Ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Tokyo.

During 4 days of fair, the promotional activities of the operators and KOWR were supported by the Polish chefs and a local chef from Tokyo, serving the traditional Polish dishes and snacks to the visitors of the stand during the culinary shows.

The Foodex Japan fair organised for more than 50 years have been the most prestigious event of the food sector in Japan, attracting each year numerous exhibitors and visitors from Japan, other Asian countries and from around the world. The previous edition of fair organised in Tokyo in 2024 attracted 2,879 exhibitors, including 1,073 from Japan and 1,806 from 68 other countries. FOODEX Japan 2024 was attended by more than 76 thousand of visitors.

The Polish food products and sector were promoted in Tokyo under the “Poland tastes good” brand at the stand of area of 342 m2, including 70 m2  dedicated to the informational and promotional stand under the sectoral food sector promotion programme for 2024-2029 (BRAND HUB), implemented by KOWR in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

The fair formed a perfect opportunity to establish contracts with the potential business partners from Japan, other Asian and Oceania countries, as well as from the North and South Americas and Africa. FOODEX Japan has been enjoying high interest of the Polish operators for years, which is demonstrated by the increasing exhibition space and impressive number of companies promoting their products in Tokyo Big Sight at the “Poland tastes good” stand.
