The Espacio Food & Service fair – the most important event of the food sector in Chile – was held between 1 and 3 October 2024 in Santiago de Chile. The 12th edition of this event was a record in terms of the number of all attendants – nearly 1,300 exhibitors and more than 35 thousand visitors.
Poland, as one of the 15 participating countries, was represented by 10 Polish entrepreneurs. They grasped the opportunity to promote their products, including: fresh apples, frozen fruits and vegetables, lyophilised fruits, juices, vegetable preparations, chocolate products and other sweets, chicory coffee as well as semi-products for the milk, confectionery and bakery industry at the national stand organised by the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) under the “Poland tastes good” brand. The Polish product attracted wide interest and recognition among the visitors, which provides hope for the future export successes and strengthening the position of the Polish brands on the international markets.
On the day preceding the date of fair, KOWR organised a number of meetings and store-checks of the Polish companies in the local retail chain JUMBO Alto Las Condes as well as the b2b talks with the potential Chilean contracting parties, including the representatives of the local retail chains Adelco, Espol and Líder (Walmart Chile).
The Espacio Food & Service fair served as an excellent platform for establishing business contacts, promoting the Polish products and building long-term relations with the international partners in Chile and South America as a whole.
