Polish national stand at the BIOFACH 2025 organic fair

As each mid-February, the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre hosted many representatives of the organic sector producers. The BIOFACH fair, which in this year were held between 11 and 14 February, could not go without the Polish companies and the national stand, which has been organised by the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) since 2018.

The annual BIOFACH fair is the largest and most important organic food trade in the world. This-year edition of this event was attended by more than 40 exhibitors from Poland, 24 of which, accompanied by the Polish Chamber of Organic Food, presented their offer at the stand organised by KOWR. Nuremberg served as the venue to promote among others the following products: fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, lyophilised and dried fruits, fruit powders, juices, jams, honey and apiary products, fresh carp and carp products, cereal preparations (buckwheat, millet and corn) and legume preparations, pastas, teas, herbs, spices, coffee and sugar confectionery.

The official opening of fair and the national stand taking place on 11 February was attended by Stefan Krajewski – Secretary of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Piotr Kondraciuk – Director of the Export Support Department at KOWR and Rafał Wolski –Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Munich.

The Polish stand held also the meeting between Deputy Minister Stefan Krajewski and Ophelia Nick, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture of Germany. The meeting was the opportunity to discuss the Polish and German cooperation in the fields of agriculture, in particular organic farming.

The essence of the BIOFACH fair is sharing the experiences and knowledge, presentation of novelties, networking between the exhibitors and visitors as well as promotion and building the image of organic products, also thanks to the intensive presence of media representatives (approx. 500 persons from 20 countries). The attendance of opinion leaders: policy-makers, representatives of sectoral unions and associations and non-governmental organisations was also of significance.

In 2024, the products were presented in Nuremberg by 2,550 exhibitors from 94 countries, and the fair (including the VIVANESS beauty section) was attended by approx. 35,000 visitors from 128 states. Each year, the fair attracts a broad interest of the Polish entrepreneurs. Apart from the KOWR stand and the independent booths of the selected companies, the Polish organic products were promoted in Nuremberg also at the stands of the “Polish Ecology” association and of the Lublin Voivodeship.
