The National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) once again participated in Europe’s largest trade fair for organic food that took place from 17 to 19 February 2021. Due to the pandemic situation, this year the BIOFACH/VIVANESS eSPECIAL fair was held exclusively online.
The KOWR’s profile set up on the fair organiser’s virtual platform offers up-to-date information on the promotion of the Polish food and agriculture sector and organic food.
The three-day event featured 775 sessions divided between a congress space, exhibitor shows and round tables gathering together 1,442 exhibitors from all over the world. This year’s edition of the fair was visited by 13,800 registered users from 136 countries.
The 2021 BIOFACH fair trends included “plant-based products”, “low-sugar and sugar-free products”, “functional food”, and “sustainable development and social responsibility”. The participants once again chose their favourites from over 500 new products entered for the competition, with their manufacturers receiving the Best New Product Award.
The next meeting of the international organic food and natural and organic personal hygiene products sector is planned to take place in a traditional setting from 15 to 18 February 2022.
