The 14th edition of Seoul Food and Hotel, the largest international food and beverages fair in South Korea, was held in Seoul on July 27-30 this year. The National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) once again organised a Polish national stand at the fair under the “Poland tastes good” slogan, as part of activities carried out based on the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s strategy to promote Polish agri-food products on foreign markets.
On the first day of the fair, the national stand was visited by Mr Piotr Ostaszewski, the Polish Ambassador to South Korea.
During this year’s edition of the event, the Polish pavilion promoting the Polish food sector functioned as an information stand, with an area of 60 m2, in a hybrid fair formula. Due to the pandemic, representatives of the Foreign Trade Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Seoul, led by Ms Anna Łagodzińska, the Head of the Office, supported the KOWR in providing assistance at the Polish stand during this year’s edition of the SFH fair.
The KOWR’s stand included eight companies, which presented products such as: organic 100 % juices (NFC), energy drinks, fish and preparations, cheeses, confectionery including protein and sugar-free sweets, as well as organic, vegan and gluten-free cereal snacks. The product offer of the Polish companies was presented in the form of samples and promotional materials, which were delivered from Poland as part of the KOWR’s forwarding offer. Many on-line talks took place during the fair via a dedicated platform provided by the organizer, serving as a tool in establishing new business contacts.
