On 17 March 2025, the three-day International Food & Drink Event (IFE London) – the UK’s largest trade fair for the food and drink industry – opened in London. The National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR) is exhibiting at the event alongside 30 companies under the banner Poland tastes good.
The Polish stand was officially opened on 17 March by Adam Nowak, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Tomasz Ciodyk, Deputy Director General of KOWR, and a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
This year, Polish food and drink producers and exporters are showcasing a wide range of products at ExCeL London, including poultry, pork and beef, as well as processed meats, fish products, groats and grain-based goods, ready meals, sweets and snacks, freeze-dried fruit, frozen vegetables and preserves, milk powders, and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
The IFE London trade show has long attracted strong interest from Polish producers and exporters. The UK is the most important non-EU market for Polish agri-food products. Exports to the UK have been steadily rising since 2022, reaching over €4 billion annually in the last two years (€4.2 billion in 2023 and €4.4 billion in 2024).
In 2024, Poland’s top agri-food exports to the UK included: red meat and processed meat (19%), poultry and poultry products (16%), confectionery (11%), cereal- and flour-based products (10%), and vegetables (including mushrooms) and vegetable preserves (6%).
IFE London is the UK’s leading exhibition for professionals in the food and drink sector. The event brings together 1,500 exhibitors from over 100 countries and attracts more than 30,000 visitors. Taking part in IFE London offers an excellent opportunity for Polish producers to break into the British market.
