From November 13 to 15, 2024, the FoodExpo Qazaqstan trade fair took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan—the most prominent exhibition for the food industry in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. For the first time since 2015, Polish food products were promoted at Food ExpoQazaqstan under the slogan ‘Poland Tastes Good’.
The national stand, organised by the National Support Centre for Agriculture, showcased the export offerings of eight Polish companies. This year, the Polish portfolio presented to potential business partners in Kazakhstan included, among other things, chocolate products and other sweets, beverages, organic products, gluten-free goods, and semi-finished products for the dairy, confectionery, and bakery industries.
As the largest country in Central Asia, Kazakhstan is a strategic partner of the EU in the region. Over three days, the event in Almaty became the key meeting point for the agri-food sector, attracting thousands of visitors from Kazakhstan and neighbouring countries. This year’s edition of FoodExpo Qazaqstan, held for the 26th time, drew approximately 300 exhibitors from over 30 countries. In this context, the Polish product offering was particularly impressive, while the stand stood out aesthetically, drawing significant attention from visitors.
Participating in FoodExpo Qazaqstan provided Polish companies with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with leading products in the Kazakh food and beverage market, assess their competitive position, and explore their potential in this market.
The next edition of FoodExpo Qazaqstan is scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 November 2025.
