The National Support Centre for Agriculture (the KOWR) participated for the second time in the Food & Hotel Asia 2022 trade fair, held from September 5 to 8 in Singapore, one of the largest food industry exhibition events in Southeast Asia. The Polish national stand, with a total area of 126 square metres, was organized jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the KOWR.
On the first day of the fair, the Polish national stand was visited by, among others, Ms. Magdalena Bogdziewicz, Polish Ambassador to Singapore, and Ms. Iwona Piórko, EU Ambassador to Singapore.
The primary objective of participation in the FHA trade fair was to promote Polish food and increase its presence in the Singaporean and Asian markets, as well as to increase interest in Polish products among potential foreign contractors. Accordingly, a showroom was organized in a KOWR’s part of the stand(with an area of 36 square metres), where Polish food products were presented, including sweets, juices, canned goods, jams, cereal coffee, seeds, salty snacks, caviar and products from the healthy food category.
In addition, 4 Polish agri-food producers presented their products in the European Union Pavilion.
Each day of the fair, the Polish national stand promoted Polish cuisine, food and Poland as a country with rich culinary traditions through culinary demonstrations and tastings organized by the KOWR. The show dishes came from different regions of Poland.
The KOWR stand was organized with funding provided under the programme “Promotion of the economy based on Polish product brands – Polish Economy Brand – Brand sub-measure 3.3.2 of the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014–2020”.
