Polish national stand at Vietfood & Beverage 2022 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

The 26th edition of the Vietfood & Beverage Fair, one of the leading international food and beverage fairs in the Vietnamese market, was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, from August 11 to 13, 2022.

The National Support Centre for Agriculture, in accordance with the strategy defined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, as part of the implementation of activities promoting Polish agri-food products in foreign markets, once again organized a Polish national stand at the above-mentioned fair under the slogan “Poland tastes good”. At the Polish national stand of 72 m2 − including 18 m2 as part of the Polish Food Specialities Promotion Programme (POIR) where culinary demonstrations promoting Polish cuisine were held − the offer was presented by 9 Polish companies offering a wide range of products including: gluten-free products, bio and organic products, dietary supplements, fruits and vegetables, sweets, healthy food, cereal products.

As part of activities related to participation in the fair, the National Support Centre for Agriculture, in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, organized a trade mission on August 10, which included visits to three retail chains (Vinmart, Annam Gourmet Supermarket, MM Megamart) and a meeting with representatives of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

The Vietfood & Beverage 2022 trade fair was held in a stationary format, and the Polish national stand was the only European national pavilion, and was very popular among visitors.  Participation in the fair provided an excellent opportunity to establish business contacts with potential counterparts, both from Vietnam and other countries in the region, especially after the hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which prevented direct meetings with partners from the Asian region, and which are so important in Asian culture.
